Integrations

NORDVEST can connect to outside systems to pull data in. Right now that means inventory — more integrations are coming.

Access integrations from Settings → Integrations (Admin only).

QuickBooks Desktop

Note: NORDVEST currently supports QuickBooks Desktop (via the Web Connector). Cloud and online accounting integrations are on the roadmap — more coming soon.

Connect QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise to pull your inventory into NORDVEST. Once connected, stock levels appear on the Parts Forecast and the parts catalog, so your team can see at a glance whether you have the parts on hand before heading to a job.

What gets synced

  • Inventory item names, part numbers, and full names
  • Quantity on hand, on order, and on sales order
  • Average cost and sales price

Sync runs automatically every 15 minutes via the QuickBooks Web Connector once it's set up. You can also trigger a manual sync from Web Connector at any time.

Setting up a connection

Requirements:

  • QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise running on a Windows machine
  • QuickBooks Web Connector installed on that machine
  • Admin access in NORDVEST

Steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Connect QuickBooks Desktop
  2. Give the connection a name (useful if you run multiple company files)
  3. Download the .qwc file
  4. On the Windows machine, open QuickBooks Web Connector and click Add an application
  5. Select the .qwc file
  6. Enter the generated password when QBWC prompts for it
  7. Click Update Selected in QBWC to trigger the first sync, or wait for the automatic 15-minute run

Once the first sync completes, your inventory items appear in the connection detail under QuickBooks inventory.

Multiple connections

If your company runs separate QuickBooks company files — for different branches or entities — you can add a connection for each one. Each connection syncs independently and has its own .qwc file and credentials.

Linking inventory to your parts catalog

After syncing, NORDVEST automatically matches your QuickBooks inventory items to catalog parts using part numbers and item names. You can review and adjust these links from the Parts ↔ Inventory mapping section of each connection.

Match confidence levels:

  • Linked — A confirmed link exists between the catalog part and a QB item
  • Suggested — NORDVEST found a high-confidence match; review and apply with one click
  • Needs review — A possible match exists but confidence is lower
  • Unlinked — No match found; search and link manually from the Resolve modal

Once linked, catalog parts show on-hand stock in the parts catalog and drive the stock status badges in the Parts Forecast.

Disabling a connection

Click Disable on a connection to stop syncing. Inventory data already pulled stays in NORDVEST; parts linked to that inventory revert to Unlinked status. You can reactivate a disabled connection at any time — no need to start from scratch.

Rotating the password

If your Web Connector credentials are compromised or you need to re-enter them, click Rotate Password on the connection card. Update the password in QBWC to match and syncing will resume.

More integrations coming soon

The integrations hub is built to support more connections over time. If there's a system you'd like NORDVEST to connect to, let us know.
