Submitting From the Field
Technicians can log work directly from the field — no desk required, no "I'll update it when I get back to the office" that turns into "I'll do it tomorrow" that turns into "what did I even do last Tuesday?" Everything submitted flows straight into NORDVEST so the service manager always has the full picture.

Recording Work From the Field
When a job is done, the technician submits a work log right from their phone or tablet:
- Open NORDVEST on your mobile device
- Navigate to the Service for the job you just completed
- Tap Record Work
- Fill in what was done — notes, components replaced, hour readings
- Submit
The submission is immediately visible to the service manager in the Work Submissions queue. No waiting, no syncing delays, no "did they finish that job?"
Tip: Submit while the details are fresh. Sitting in the van for two extra minutes beats trying to remember part numbers three days later.
Work Submissions — The Service Manager's View
Every work log submitted from the field lands in the Work Submissions page — it's right there in the sidebar with a handy badge showing how many are waiting. This gives the service manager a single place to review, approve, and finalize all field work.
From Work Submissions, a service manager can:
- See all pending work logs waiting for review
- Review what the technician recorded — notes, components, hour readings
- Approve and close the linked Service
- Follow up with the technician if something looks off or is missing
Work Submissions is the bridge between the field and the office. Nothing falls through the cracks, and every service gets properly reviewed before it's closed out.
Syncing
NORDVEST is built for the real world — and the real world includes machine rooms with zero cell service and basements where Wi-Fi goes to die. The mobile app syncs data to your device so you can work offline.
When you're back in signal range (or connected to Wi-Fi), just hit Sync from the home screen. Your work submissions go up, the latest changes from the office come down. Simple as that.
