Service Checklists Record the Work That Changes No Parts

Add all the things you promise your customer you do for each service so that you know they are done.

On site, there's lots to do to keep the machines you service running like clockwork. Now, with checklists you can make sure you don't forget what you've promised your customers.

One list for the whole company

Go to Settings > Checklist Items. Every task your technicians do lives in this one list. Add an item, rename it, or drag it to a new position. This keeps everything consistent for your technicians.

Each machine type gets its own items

A refrigerated dryer does not have belts. A receiver tank does not have air filters.

Open Settings > Asset Types and select a type. Select the items in Service Checklist. Every machine of that type now shows those items on Record Work.

One machine can differ

A single machine rarely matches its type exactly. The customer removed the auto drain. Somebody added a sight glass the rest of the fleet does not have.

Open the asset and find the Service Checklist on the right side.

  • Switch off any item not needed for that machine
  • For the one-off items for that machine specifically, add them to the list here.

The technicians check the boxes

On Record Work, each asset card shows its checklist under the component rows.

Where to start

  1. Open Settings > Checklist Items and read the list you already have.
  2. Rename anything that does not sound like your shop. Write each item as the technician will read it after the work is done.
  3. Open an asset type and tick the items it should carry.
