Pricing That Matches Your Shop

We started out trying to be simple, but we learned it didn't make sense for most of the shops we talked to.

Two changes

Every feature for every shop

We wanted to add value to every compressor shop in every phase, so we opened every feature up to every shop. Period.

Charge per customer

When an air shop is winning and working with more customers, we charge accordingly. We penciled it out for our shop and we figured out that the pricing for us is less than a percent of our customers' profit per month.

Here is the new price. $3 per active customer, per month. The first branch is included, and each additional branch is $150. There is a 50-customer minimum. Every feature is on for every shop. For a shop with 100 customers and one branch, that is $300 a month.

One of the founding principles we started out with was to be simple and not nickel-and-dime. We've used those tools where we've passed around a shared login and we wanted to avoid that stress for companies using NORDVEST.

So we created fixed pricing that made sense in our initial research.

But... we have been talking to a lot of shops, learning how they work and the software they're paying for. Our pricing no longer made sense. There were some shops it was perfect for, but the types of companies we relate to most, those either starting out and growing, or smaller by design, were looking at our price and feeling uneasy.

So we went back to the drawing board. We reviewed notes from shops we talked to. We were trying to avoid the variable pricing, but within that we couldn't make it work for many shops we talked to, so we reversed course and leaned even further into our principle not to nickel-and-dime.

Every shop gets every feature. Pay as you grow.

But I need stability?

We heard this from shops, too. And these are also shops that said they'd be willing to pay up front for great software. So you can lock in a year of pricing by paying up front.
